Progressive Die
Progressive Die uses similar press technology to our large, die-set presses, but much different tooling technology.
These are standard stamping presses, either servo or mechanical. Progressive Die Technology utilizes the material strip as the transfer mechanism, moving the part progression from station to station. While the pitch is flexible, the part geometry and feature enhancement can be limited because the part progression is physically attached to the material web during forming. Progressive Die Technology excels on shallower parts requiring coined feature definition.
